My story so far...
It was also during my time at university, that I discovered oratorio and sang as soprano soloist in Haydn's The Creation at Wantage Festival, Mendelssohn's Hymn of Praise and Vivaldi's Gloria, both with Finham Choral Society in Coventry. Whilst living in France, I worked with baritone Jean-Philippe Courtis in the Théâtre Impérial in Compiègne. It was during my time in Compiègne that I cemented my love of German lieder and performed Schumann's song cycle, Frauenlieben und -leben. This and many of Schubert's songs continue to be favourites in my repertoire.
Since returning to England and finishing my studies, I have sung extensively, both in concerts and in staged productions, as well as at functions and events. I have developed longstanding links with choirs, orchestras and groups across the Midlands and beyond and am regularly invited to guest in concerts of all kinds, as well as giving solo and ensemble recitals. Notable performances in recent years include Handel's Messiah, Haydn's Nelson Mass, Orff's Carmina Burana and Mozart's Exsultate Jubilate.
I have sung in many concerts and festivals and have competed in the last two years of the prestigious Llangollen International Eisteddfod. I have also been privileged to perform at important events including at the Queen's 8oth birthday celebrations in Birmingham, as well as several Remembrance Day and Armistice Day Services at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas. This included a televised performance during the Armistice Day service at Alrewas in November 2009, in front of HRH Earl of Wessex. I became a Fellow of the London College of Music in 2005. Based in Coventry, I am married and have two young sons.
